Hello all users!
I have some exciting news to share. 700megs has been expanding, and bringing in users from all around the world. Since we are getting so popular, we are forced into getting a new hard drive put in our system! This will make it our 4th drive, so tomorrow, MYSQL will be on its own HDD (our old one), making the performance and stability of MYSQL greatly increase.
The user sites and info will then later on in the day be backed up and moved to our new drive. We will let you know when that will be happening later on.
There will then be two planned downtime's. As of now, we know one which is the physical install of the hard ware. Our service will be down from 12:58 up to 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, although this process usually only takes an hour.
After that is done, there will be another downtime again like i said for the transferring of all user data over to the new drive, and to mount our new MYSQL server on its own. I will post this on the main page as well as the forums, so please stop by if you have any questions or comments. Thanks everyone for making 700megs great so far, and we plan on expanding the website even further in the future! |
